Oma’s 80th Birthday

Franziska and I spent the weekend in Barchfeld to celebrate the 80th birthday of her grandma. Franziska’s parents and sister were there, Franziska’s cousin Stefanie and her husband Enrico and their son Paul, and of course Brigitte, Franziska’s aunt, who lives with Oma in Barchfeld. I think we all had a really nice weekend. On Sunday for her birthday we went to church for the 1st day of Advent. Later the Barchfeld trumpet choir played outside the house, which was really nice of them especially because it was really cold to be playing outside. At night there was a slide show with pictures of Oma and the family starting from when she was 4 years old.

A few of us played Monopoly at Katja’s. I think I must have won, since nobody is here to say otherwise.

Potsdam Tower Climbing

It was a little cold, but not so cold as we thought it might be. We met for climbing Sunday afternoon at the Potsdam tower. Then we went back to our apartment and finished off the chilli that I made on Friday night. Actually I’m really hungry as I’m writing this. Grumbling is coming from somewhere.
